Her work has appeared in numerous journals and has been featured in Ted Kooser’s “American Life in Poetry” and on Verse Daily. She is the recipient of a 2025 Individual Artist Fellowship Finalist award from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Barbara H. Williams was drawn to poetry while still an active professional flutist, enjoying a career as an orchestral, chamber and solo flutist, and faculty member at Westminster Conservatory in Princeton, NJ. She began to write poems in 2013 in a workshop with Jean Hollander. With the late poet Daniel A. Harris, she founded AEOLUS, a performance duo, to explore a dialogue of poetry with music for flute. She later participated in Zoom workshops led by Lois Marie Harrod and joined the DVP/US1 Poets collective. Her poems have been published in US1Worksheets, Paterson Literary Review, The Raven’s Perch, and Cool Women Press, with one nomination for the Pushcart Prize. Continuo is her first published collection.

SHOW OPENING RECEPTION - 1965 MISS AMERICA Jeff Evans - Interaction of shape with portraits

Jeff’s paintings and watercolors are predominantly figurative, drawing inspiration from printed magazines, advertising, digital imaging, and collage techniques. Jeff's recent work includes a series of paintings and works on paper inspired by a 1965 Life Magazine advertisement featuring portraits of all fifty Miss America contestants from that year. These pieces explore the interaction of shapes within the portraits, as varying surfaces and paint applications give each piece a unique character.
